The Ethics Committee is formed inside of the foundation to enforce the Code of Ethics, our values as a Foundation, and where they need to be used and applied. As the Ethics Committee, they have the authority to determine what is considered ethical or unethical. The Committee, in events of high-level breaches of the Code of Ethics, work with the Internal Security Department and Intelligence Agency to prosecute offenders and act as a jury, along with O5 Council members in a tribunal court. The Ethics Committee, as an entity, is tasked with reviewing and approving all documents and regulations that apply to the Foundation. Ethics Committee members have some of the most concentrated and high-echelon power in the entirety of the Foundation. Ethics Committee operations are public to all within the Ethics Committee communications relay. Publicization of context and information behind cases is the prerogative of the Committee, prosecutors and jurors involved, along with the O5 Council.
The Ethics Committee has the final say as an entirety on decisions dealing with the ethicality of an event, or events that happened inside the Foundation’s official workplace. They have the right to issue punishments on individuals that fail to follow the Code of Ethics with the approval of a high-ranking member inside of the Ethics Committee.
The Code of Ethics is to be applied inside of all Foundation tests, events, and the general site environment unless the terms are lifted for a set timeframe by the O5 Council or The Administrator himself. All personnel inside the Foundation are bound to the Code of Ethics. The Ethics Committee reserves the right to prosecute any member of the Foundation in breach of the Codes.
Members of the Ethics Committee hold the right to terminate any test or productions of the test before, during, or after the completion of the test if found in breach of the Code of Ethics. If a member of the Ethics Committee requests to accompany a test, then the scientific and security personnel conducting the experiment are required to allow this member to supervise their test. Ethics Committee members are not permitted to interfere with any scientific or security duties during the testing procedure unless they are found in breach of the Code of Ethics.
