Keter class marking

The Keter class is assigned to those objects that show clear and active hostility towards human life, civilization and / or space-time and are capable of causing significant destruction in the event of a violation of the conditions of detention. Such objects should be catalogued, maintained in accordance with special deterrence conditions and, if possible, destroyed.

Hostility to human life alone is not a reason to assign the Keter class to an object. The Keter class shows that an object is not only capable and attempts to harm human life and civilization, but also that extensive and complex content protocols are needed to prevent exposure to an object and must be followed exactly. Research in the field of neutralization of Keter class objects always has the highest priority for the Foundation.

Cases when objects of the Keter class come for maintenance instead of neutralization by the Foundation's employees are rare. They can be divided into three main categories. First, a number of objects cannot physically be destroyed due to obvious invulnerability or similar reasons. Secondly, there is a certain class of "Keters" that are of great tactical importance to the Foundation. Thirdly, there are a number of objects, the neutralization of which threatens to cause greater harm to humanity than preservation in its current form.

The Foundation has managed to channel the capabilities of some Keter-class properties peacefully, but such situations are rare exceptions. For example, SCP-076 has agreed to work with the Foundation only because of its unusual relationship with agent [DELETED] and the object's ability to communicate with us, but even this did not last long. Most Of the Keters are inanimate objects, and many of them are inanimate. This status may change in the course of further research and discovery.

"Keter" (כתר) means "crown" in Hebrew; this is the highest level of sephirot in Kabbalah.

Rule of the box: If you put an object in a box, put it away, and there will be catastrophic destruction with many victims, then it must be a Keter.
