Advancement
Advancement is the process of earning a new rank or merit badges. Scouts may work on some items for rank advancement on their own, having leaders check them off when they complete a requirement. Most of the requirements are met by working on them in troop and patrol meetings or on outings. Troop 19 frequently offers merit badges within the troop. We have recently worked on the Basketry, Camping, Fishing and Personal Fitness merit badges in the troop and will soon be starting on the Art merit badge.
