May 28, 2018 Court of Honor

We have a Court of Honor tomorrow night at 7 p.m. to recognize those scouts who have advanced in rank or earned merit badges since the last one. We will also have some useful information for parents, and the scouts will have a short training session on the First Class requirements pertaining to hazardous weather. It will be held in the church, and we would love to see all of our scouts and parents there.

Parents-

Troop leadership, both adults and the PLC, have decided to make our compass logo shirt the official shirt of the troop and the plan is to keep the logo but to rotate between a minimum set of colors every year or two.

The color choice for this year is the original purple design that we used about 3 or 4 years ago and many of the younger guys do not have. It looks really sharp with Boy Scout khakis and is very distinctive among other troop shirts. We are planning on printing locally with Paradise Printers. The shirt will be a Gildan 50/50 blend - this is not a true wicking shirt but a much more comfortable one. The current cost estimate is $10.21 per shirt - most likely we will make it easy and charge $10 per.

We need to finalize sizes soon -- so please let us know at the Court of Honor on Tuesday - in order to have the shirts by summer camp.

And parents -- by all means, if you want to order one for yourself please do so!
