About Me

Hello! 

I'm the Scottish Geography Tutor - an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography teacher based in Aberdeen in the north east of Scotland, committed to supporting pupils across the country. Whether you're aiming to excel at National 5 or Higher Geography, or looking to build strong foundations in BGE Geography, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

I’ve led pupils on exciting fieldwork expeditions and have helped many students achieve success in their National and Higher Assignments. In addition to my teaching credentials, I hold a master’s-level “outstanding” in mentoring and coaching from the University of Aberdeen—skills I use daily to help both pupils and fellow educators flourish. I’m passionate about nurturing a growth mindset in all my students, helping them develop confidence and reach their full potential.

My experience extends beyond the classroom: I have worked in the third sector, supporting teachers and trainers in Uganda and Rwanda during a month-long GLP project in 2023. This global perspective enriches my teaching and allows me to bring real-world insights into every lesson.

I also believe in holistic support for my pupils. I have a keen interest in mindfulness and wellbeing, having completed a 6-week mindfulness course and achieved an SCQF Level 5 in counselling. This enables me to offer a caring, supportive learning environment where pupils feel empowered and ready to succeed.

My approach is tailored to each individual: I take the time to understand your learning style, provide clear explanations, and embed exam practice throughout our sessions. By connecting Geography concepts to real-world examples, I make learning engaging, relevant, and fun.

– Home visits available depending on location (travel expenses may be applicable)

– £POA per hour session. Discounted rates for 1.5 hour and 2 hour sessions also available.
