Inspired by a quote from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet "These violent delights have violent ends"
I do not wish for this dream to end,
But all things must.
I have witnessed the power of darkness,
And its aftermath.
Throughout life, I’ve learned a truth most horrid!
A happiness most fierce awaits an even fiercer end.
No power can stop despair, nor time!
Time devours all—
But crueler is despair with its tainted cloak.
With every light is a darkness most foul.
The brighter thy light shines,
Darker the fate awaiting thee.
Thou doth wonder why I speaketh so?
Tis because life has no value when void of tragedy!
I leave thee to ponder mine own words:
Crueler is the despair that takes all it sees.
Thou must be cautious with thy delights,
Else despair shall engulf thine own heart.
