Before your program begins:
· Inform Niki Becker at SciGirls (nbecker@tpt.org) of your program start date and end date (program must occur between April and December).
· Inform Niki Becker of your Family Event date. Niki will send you materials for your event.
· Let Niki Becker know if you will need recording equipment for the STEM videos created by the girls in your program. We have a limited number of devices we can lend out as needed.
· Review the Program Requirements and Partner Expectations web pages.
· Two educators per partner site (specifically the program leader and one educator who is familiar with the SciGirls Seven) complete the online baseline evaluation survey about your recent STEM programs and use of the SciGirls Seven.
· Two educators per partner site complete a pre-program research survey.
Please make sure your program includes the following:
· At least 10 girls within 5th-8th grade
· At least 24 hours of programming
· Incorporates all of the SciGirls Seven strategies
· Includes at least 3 role models (virtual or in person) (if you do not have role models, Niki Becker can help you find them)
· At least 2 hours of the program dedicated to video creation
During Your Program:
· On Day One of your program, participating youth and families complete the SciGirls CONNECT2 pre-program research survey.
· On the last day of your program, participating youth and families complete the post-program research survey.
STEM Videos:
· Allow 2 hours of your SciGirls CONNECT2 program for the girls to create their STEM Experience videos.
After Your Program:
· Two educators per partner site complete online post-program research survey within one week of program end date.
· Two educators per partner site (specifically the program leader and one educator who is familiar with the SciGirls Seven) complete online program report and SciGirls Seven reflections survey within one week of program end date and then participate in follow-up interview. *As part of the survey, only one educator per partner site completes questions about program duration and participants.
