I welcome inquiries related to scientific imaging projects, horticultural research, and methods development. Whether you are looking for a collaborator on a plant science study, need publication-quality macro photography of specimens, or are interested in discussing imaging protocols and equipment setups, I am happy to connect.
Collaborative research involving plant morphology, arthropod documentation, or horticultural specimens
Scientific figure production for manuscripts and publications
Methods consultation for macro photography workflows in research settings
I am a plant scientist and scientific photographer with a research background spanning horticulture, integrated pest management, and macro-scale imaging. My work sits at the intersection of rigorous science and visual communication.
I develop and apply precision imaging methods to document plant structures, arthropod interactions, and horticultural specimens with publication-quality results.
Currently based in British Columbia, I am pursuing graduate-level studies in plant sciences, with applied research experience through my affiliation with a research institute. I bring a methodical, detail-oriented approach to both laboratory work and fieldwork, and I am equally comfortable designing experimental protocols as I am behind a camera.
High-magnification macro imaging at and beyond 1:1 reproduction ratios
Focus stacking workflows for extended depth-of-field in specimen documentation
Polarized and diffused lighting design for glare-free surface detail
Production of publication-quality figures for peer-reviewed research contexts
Species identification support through morphological image documentation
Tropical and temperate plant identification, cultivation, and propagation
Integrated pest management and arthropod-plant interaction research
Precision fertilizer and solution chemistry (concentration calculations, EC/pH management)
Greenhouse environment management and climate system design
Scientific methods documentation and protocol development
Data collection, analysis, and visual presentation for research outputs
Familiarity with academic publishing standards and figure preparation guidelines
Equipment modification and custom hardware setups for imaging applications
Lighting system assembly and calibration (Godox and custom rigs)
