Science Rules

1. Be Safe

Wear your masks, and wear safety gloves and protective eyegear when appropriate. We're going to try to do some hands-on activities this year. Safety always comes first in a Science Classroom.

2. Don't Talk Out Of Turn

People are wearing masks and it's hard enough to hear them as it is. Don't add to the problem. Be a solution

3. Be Respectful

Be respectful to your teacher, your teacher's stuff, your classmates, your classmates' stuff, and yourself

4. Don't play with the sinks or the gas valves at the desks

It's just a sink. You have it at home. Play with it there. Also most of the drains in my classroom are clogged. So don't bother turning on the water unless we're doing a lab that involves water

The gas is extremely dangerous. If it's accidentally turned on it could lead to health problems or worse. Don't worry, I have a master valve. But don't play with the gas valves at the desks just in case. Rule #1 is Be Safe. By playing with the gas valves you're potentially putting yourself and others in extreme danger. We don't mess with that.

5. Be responsible

You are responsible for your own learning experience. If you miss an assignment, make it up. Don't wait for me to ask you to do something, just do it. If you turn something in late, use the Late Form in Schoology. I will not grade any late work unless you use the Late Form

6. Be you

I value you as a person. I want to know who you are and I want to hear your thoughts! Don't be afraid to be yourself around me. There is absolutely no judgment in my classroom.
