Refund Policy
1. Cancellations Within 72 Hours of Enrollment
Full Refund: If a student cancels their enrollment in writing (email accepted) within 72 hours (3 business days) from the date of registration and before any classes or labs have started, a full refund will be issued.
Example: If a student enrolls on Monday at 10 AM, they may cancel and receive a full refund until Thursday at 11:59 PM.
2. Cancellations After 72 Hours But Before Program Starts
Refund with Administrative Fee: If the cancellation occurs after 72 hours but before the first session of the program, a $50 administrative fee will be deducted from the refund. The remainder will be refunded.
Note: This fee covers the initial processing, material reservations, and setup costs.
3. Cancellations After Program Starts
Before 25% of the Program is Completed: If a student withdraws before completing 25% of the scheduled program, they will receive 75% of the tuition refunded, minus the $50 administrative fee.
Between 25% and 50% of the Program: If the student withdraws after completing between 25% and 50% of the program, they will receive 50% of the tuition refunded, minus the $50 administrative fee.
After 50% Completion: If the student withdraws after completing 50% or more of the program, no refund will be provided.
Note: For programs lasting multiple weeks, refunds are calculated based on the number of sessions attended.
4. Non-Refundable Items
Consumable Materials: Any materials that have been used or distributed (such as lab supplies, books, or worksheets) are non-refundable once distributed.
The membership fee : non-refundable 14 days after the date of purchase.
5. Refund Processing & Timing
Processing Time: All refunds will be processed within 30 calendar days from the receipt of the written cancellation notice or the program start date (whichever is later).
Refund Method: Refunds will be issued via the original payment method. If that method is unavailable, a refund check will be issued to the billing address on file.
6. Program Cancellations by the Academy
If the Academy Cancels the Program Before It Starts: If the Academy cancels a program before its scheduled start date for any reason, students will receive a full refund (100% of paid tuition and fees).
If the Academy Cancels the Program After It Has Started: If the Academy cancels the program after it has started, students will receive a pro-rated refund for any unused portion of the program (based on the number of classes/sessions left).
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, the student (or their parent/guardian) must submit a written request to the Academy’s administrative office (scienceacademy72034@gmail.com). The request should include:
The student’s full name
The program name and start date
The reason for the cancellation
A contact method (phone number or email)
Preferred refund method (original payment method or check)
8. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises regarding the refund, the issue should first be addressed with the Academy’s Administrative Office. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 15 business days, it may be escalated to local consumer protection agencies or state regulatory authorities in Arkansas.
