Inspired from initiaves such as "La main a la pate" (France) or the "Fibonacci project" (EU), Science for Children DK main aim is to improve the quality of scientific learning for primary school children, that are already immerged in a scientific world. Contents are designed on inquiry-based learning, facilitating hands-on experiments. We are working closely with teachers to help them integrate fun science in their specific curriculi.
Our objectives are as follow :
- give the taste of science to children by organizing fun and colourful experiments
- familiarise with scientific materials and techniques, such as microscopy observation or pipetting
- learn the basics of experimental design, such as positive and negative controls, and help them analyze simple experiments
- understand the needs for quantification, tabulation, etc...
- take the opportunity to have experts to push knowledge further in curious recipient minds
