Assessment
We have built into our website three methods that we can use to ensure that our Science 10 Chemistry Resource website is meeting our intended outcomes: a survey for students, a survey for educators, and Google site analytics.
Survey for Students
The survey for students will be completed at the end of the chemistry unit and is found under the assessment tab on the resource website. The format of the survey is a Likert style survey and is completed using a Google form. The survey asks the students to rate the format and organization of the website, as well as how useful the resources were in supporting their academics. In addition, it asks how easily they were able to engage with others virtually on the website to support their understanding. There is an open-ended question at the end of the survey to allow the students to provide any feedback not addressed in the survey.
Survey for Educators
The survey for educators should be completed at the end of the chemistry unit and is found under the assessment tab on the resource website. The format is Likert style and is completed using a Google form. The survey asks educators to rate the structure, organization, and format of the website. The survey also asks the educators to report how often they directed their students to use the website and if they felt the website increased student engagement and understanding of the material. There is an open-ended question at the end of the survey to allow the educators to provide any feedback not addressed in the survey.
