Interests:

Dr. Masani's clinical research focuses on cardiovascular health in people with SCI. Specifically, she has been studying arterial stiffness as a potential screening tool of cardiovascular health and the efficacy of exercise and marketed drug interventions on arterial stiffness in SCI. Currently, she is coordinating a Health Canada approved study exploring the use of statins for the modification of bone mass and cardiometabolic disease risk in people with SCI. She is a member of SCI-HIGH Cardiovascular Health working group.
