Maryam Omidvar graduated from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) as a pharmacist, and then studied Genetic Epidemiology at the Erasmus University in the Netherlands. During her MSc, she worked on the Genetic factors related to smoking cessation and was awarded with the outstanding Nihes prize of the best research paper by the Erasmus University. After graduation, she worked in Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute as a Senior Researcher. Her main interests are statistics, diabetes and Evidence Based Research. She joined the Neural Engineering and Therapeutics Team as Research Analyst.
