Interests:

Dr. Ditor’s research interests include the secondary health complications that accompany spinal cord injury. His emphases in this area includes 1) cardiovascular disease and dysfunction, 2) immune status and its effects on neural function, pain and depression, and 3) sexual function in both men and women. As exercise training and diet may help to attenuate or reverse some of these health complications he also investigates the effects of these interventions on health, function and quality of life after spinal cord injury.

Dr. Ditor is also the director of POWER CORD, which serves as both a research centre and a community-based exercise centre for individuals with SCI in Niagara.
