Throughout January of 2021, the counselors will be conducting student advocacy lessons with all students. This is a mandatory part of the state's guidance curriculum. We will teach students to say no, get away, and tell a trusted adult when they encounter a dangerous situation. Student advocacy lessons help children to be prepared to handle dangerous situations. These lessons should be supplemented by family discussions. We encourage you to have an age-appropriate talk with your child.
Below are several resources to help guide you in this talk. Please reach out to your grade level counselor if you would like more support in talking with your child.
