In addition to larp games, there are some simple camps for adults.

In Europe - Poland, Spain, Great Britain, Denmark - similar commercial games are very common, they are called “blockbuster larp”.

The game scenario "School of Magic 1930: The Greater Good" is unique and developed by Alexandra Volkova with the support of the Edularp MTÜ team.

I never played LARP, should I worry?

Playing is easy and pleasant.

There are plenty of supportive materials for  the beginners in the internet and youtube.

We will organize several classes for roleplaying, charms and dancing as part of preparations for the game and on site immediately before the game.

 I never read / watched Hаrry Pоtter, will it be interesting for me?

We advice you to watch the Hаrry Pоtter movies.  If you consider these too childish, for you better match are Fantastic Beasts, all 3 movies.

Participation in the game assumes that you are familiar with HP universe and enjoy it.

Before the game we will be publishing set of articles and information for better understanding of current political, social and general situation in the wisarding world in 1920-30s. 

What I need to prepare in advance?

• costume of your character - student uniform or adult wisard costume styled in 1920s.

• magic wand

• items for decorating your House Common room or personal cabinet (optional)

How much time and efforts I should spend on preparations?

•  You will need to read the Rules of Game - quite a significant size document, do not leave it until the last moment. 

• Read the materials to prepare for the exams (will be provided to you). 

• Learn and develop your character - understand its goals, motivation, activities, quests 

• Get to know (via Telegram channel) other players whom your character must know as part of your role (i.e. other students of your House, colleagues teachers, officials from Ministry of Magic).

NB! we plan ~ 2 months for the preparations - from September 2024

• Two group online meetings

• Several meetings offline in Tallinn and Riga for для roleplaying, dancing and charms workshops. 

• Personal call with your Head of House / curator 

• One week before the game will be active role-playing in Telegram chat

I already played this game in November 2023/June 2024 - will it be interesting for me?

If you have already played, next time it will be interesting because:

• not all secrets were revealed

• you can play a different character

• you can take the same character again, try it differently and see what happens

• the main characters will be changed

• places and riddles will be changed

• After previous games some inaccuracies in the rules were corrected, so now the game will be even more thoughtful and interesting!
