School Daze Band has been the “house band” that has backed up the John Wallace Middle School “Show Choir” since 1999. In addition to performing at the annual Show Choir concerts for the Newington elementary schools and for the public at outdoor concerts and Blue Back Square in West Hartford, the group has also performed at the Opening Ceremonies for the Special Olympics at SCSU, at the East Hartford Rehabilitation Center, and at numerous local events including the Newington Extravaganza (since 2001), the Newington Waterfalls Festival, the Newington Relay for Life Event, and the Newington Summer Concert series.
