School Counselors of NEPA (SCsNEPA or SCONE) was founded by a group of school counselors who realized there was a need for professional collaboration in the Northeastern region, specific to the school counseling profession. Professional membership affiliation and participation is a critical aspect of school counselor development and professional identity, in addition to an ethical responsibility. As unique contributors to school communities, our roles are continuously developing and changing to meet the needs of today's society and students. SCONE strives to provide local school counselors with opportunities to enhance their knowledge in the 3 ASCA domains: academic, social-emotional and career development.
