SCHOLAR MOSAIC 2021: ABOUT THE EVENT

Considering the ongoing scenario of COVID 19 pandemic and the requirements of young and budding researchers working at different levels in social sciences SCHOLARS’ MOSAIC 2021 was organized.

Scholars' Mosaic 2021 was the first and unique scholars' meet organised by Research Cell, Faculty of Education and Psychology, the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat during 17-19 July 2021 to review research trends in Education and Interdisciplinary fields.

It was a three day online academic fest for young and talented Scholars working in Education and allied disciplines. The foremost tenet of this programme was to provide a scaffolding to the scholars, nationally and internationally, to share their research work irrespective of their research phase.

SALIENT FEATURES OF THAT EVENT

The objective of this meet was to provide a platform for scholars to connect, share and report their ideas, perspectives and results of their research and to acknowledge genuine, creative and innovative research work of researchers working in the field of Education and Allied fields. The event was for three full days from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm and beyond. This event was celebrated with 13 academic sessions including an inaugural session and a valedictory session.

This event was totally managed by the research scholars from the Department of Education with the direct supervision by the senior faculty members. The inception, planning and the total execution of this meet was done by the talented scholars of the departments. Present researchers were the chairpersons, co-chairpersons, rapporteurs, comperers and technical assistants for all 13 sessions. Lead speakers for all the 11 technical sessions were the previous researchers from the department working at different places in India. All technical and academic components were managed by the present and previous researchers. Awards in the six different categories were selected on the basis of blind review of papers evaluated by the previous scholars of the department working in different universities in India. A total of 20 awards were presented in all the six categories.

The event was planned two months before. Brochure was prepared, WhatsApp and telegram groups were made, organizing committees were formed for different tasks. Maximum attempt was made to circulate the event brochure to maximum number of researchers working in Indian universities, institutions and colleges. Though the event was online, many innovative components were added in this event off line and online by the researchers to make the programme live and attractive. Backups upto three levels for the chairpersons, rapporteurs, comperers and technical assistants were arranged to have an uninterrupted and live event in case of internet, electricity or any technical failure and it was found very useful.

More than 800 scholars registered for the event and the participation was between 100 to 200 in all the sessions. We have received total 101 papers form which 87 papers were presented during that three days event out of which 53 papers were Quantitative in nature, 18 were Qualitative in nature and rest 16 papers were in the category of conceptual and other type of papers. Most of the papers were from Education discipline and a few are from interdisciplinary areas. Participants were there from each and every states of India and Abroad. Paper presenters were from 19 states of India like, Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Hariyana, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharastra, Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamilnadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
