THE MAHARAJA SAYAJIRAO UNIVERSITY OF BARODA
The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda was the first teaching, residential and unitary university of Western India. It was established in 1949. It is the only public funded university in Gujarat with English as the medium of instruction. It has 13 faculties and 17 residential hostels cater to over 35,000 students. The famous personalities like, Shri. Aurobindo, Dr. Amdedkar, Shri. Shyam Pitroda, Shri M.F. Hussain, Dr. Venki Ramakrishnan, Shri. K. M. Munshi, Shri Vinoba Bhave, Shri Dadasaheb Phalke, Dr. Bhikubhai Parekh, Dr. M.B. Buch and Dr. Hansa Mehta were few of its Alumni.
