Hi, I’m Schellera. I am a passionate educator, a lifelong learner, and a proud trailblazer in both my personal and professional journeys. For the past six years, I have devoted myself to teaching and to creating meaningful learning experiences that help students grow academically and personally. Education has never been just a job for me. It truly feels like a calling, something I am deeply connected to and inspired by every single day. Being in the classroom has shaped the person I am, and it has allowed me to develop a voice that is rooted in patience, empathy, and a genuine love for helping others learn.

I am the youngest and only girl in my immediate family, and becoming the first to graduate from college was a milestone that represents my determination and resilience. My journey has been filled with moments where I had to believe in myself even when the path was not always clear. This accomplishment reflects my commitment to growth, my strong work ethic, and the pride I carry in breaking generational barriers. My passion for learning continues to guide both my personal life and my career. I love spending quiet afternoons in the library, discovering new stories and ideas that deepen my understanding of the world and strengthen my approach to teaching.

Outside of work, I am someone who truly values creativity, family, and connection. I cherish the moments I spend with the people I love, whether we are celebrating milestones or simply enjoying each other’s company. Traveling brings me joy because it allows me to explore new environments, learn from different cultures, and step outside my comfort zone. I also express my heart through singing at church, where I find peace, purpose, and community. Cooking is another way I unwind, and sharing meals with those I care about is one of the simplest yet most meaningful pleasures in my life. I love evenings filled with old-school R&B, good food, and a book that pulls me into another world.
