In 2021, my life took an unexpected turn. While deployed, I sustained injuries that led to four surgeries in less than a year and a complete career change. Stuck at home, limited to physical therapy and doctor visits, I needed something to keep my mind engaged. That’s when I discovered 3D printing.
I bought my first printer in April 2022, a Voxlab Aquila S2. It was anything but easy to master. I spent hours reading forums and watching videos, only to feel more frustrated. At one point, I gave up entirely. But after my third surgery, I knew I needed a different approach. My fourth and final surgery, a complete shoulder replacement at just 29 years old, made that decision even clearer. I focused less on reading and more on hands-on problem-solving.
Slowly, I dialed in bed leveling, z-offsets, and filament settings. When I finally saw my first successful print, I was hooked.
3D printing became more than just a hobby. It helped me manage PTSD, gave me a creative outlet, and kept my mind engaged during long, sleepless nights. What started as personal experimentation turned into making practical items for my home, friends, and even local businesses. I expanded my setup with a Sovol SV03 and began tackling bigger, more complex projects.
Today, I run three machines, including my latest addition, the Creality K1 Max. Unlike my earlier printers, the K1 Max is packed with automation, from auto-bed leveling to automatic z-offset adjustments. Straight out of the box, it is ready to print, making the experience effortless and enjoyable.
Now, I want to share everything I have learned. This website is your go-to resource for 3D printing, featuring troubleshooting tips, G-code guides, printer and filament profiles, recommended parts, and downloadable printables. Whether you are a beginner struggling with your first printer or an experienced user looking for new ideas, my goal is to make your 3D printing journey easier, more fun, and more rewarding.
Welcome aboard. Let’s start printing!
