Summer Campers:
The HOA Board would like for you to take a few minutes and complete the survey that was emailed to all SCB owners. If you did not receive the email, please reach out to Penny.
The survey will be open until August 31. Once we receive your thoughts, we will use this information to help us plan as we develop the budget for 2026 and the strategic plan for the future.
Please list your lot number so we can ensure there are no duplicates. If you own more than one lot, please be sure to list all lots owned because you have one vote per lot owned.

Greetings Summer Campers!
What Is a Resource Management Plan?
When I first joined the HOA Board, I thought a Resource Management Plan (RMP) was simply about managing our community through strategic planning, financial planning, and fire mitigation. While this was partly correct, I’ve learned it involves several other components. For instance, the RMP also encompasses stormwater management, wildlife protection, and ongoing landscape maintenance.
Creation of a Resource Management Plan Committee
Recently, Mark Patterson—one of our owners—volunteered to chair an RMP Committee for Summer Camp. Mark brings over 30 years of experience in developing similar plans. Over the past week, he surveyed our community and met with the Maintenance Committee to review maps and learn about the projects the committee and our landscaping contractor have been focusing on this summer. Through these conversations, Mark gained valuable insights and information, which he will soon present to the Board and the broader community.
Looking Ahead
Once Mark’s recommendations are reviewed and a plan is approved, it will take the Board, RMP Committee, Maintenance Committee, our landscaper, and community members, all working together in order to implement these recommendations. Please let us know if you want to be involved. Ultimately, our goal is to restore Summer Camp to its original vision of a coastal paradise, all while ensuring the responsible and safe management of our woodlands, wildlife, and water resources.
