About Me
My name is Scarlett Sullivan, and I am a junior at Madison Central High School in Madison, Mississippi. I currently serve as the Head Producer of the Jaguar News Network. This is my second year in JNN, and I have enjoyed every second of it.
As head producer, I assist with a variety of tasks, including writing scripts for our monthly broadcast, filming and editing The Central, anchoring segments, and helping students film and edit their own pieces. During my sophomore year, I was a sports reporter, attending two to three sporting events each month; I also anchored segments. In my two years at JNN, I have learned valuable life skills, including how to be a leader, communicate effectively, and manage deadlines. I hope to apply what I have learned in this class to my future career in journalism.
Outside of the classroom, I participate in many clubs and activities. I am a member of the Madison Central Reveille show choir, and I dance at Xpress Dance Studio. I am also a member of the High Tech Video Production class, the Madison Junior Civitan Club (Civinettes), Beta Club, and serve as a class representative for SGA. I have accumulated over 100 service hours through participation in sevice based clubs. Next year, I plan to return to JNN and complete my senior year of high school.
