Welcome to "ScanX:QR Code & Barcode Scanner" (hereinafter referred to as "this App" or "we"/"us"). These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as "Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and us governing your access to and use of this QR Code Scanner mobile application and related services (hereinafter referred to as "Services").
Important Note: This App does not require you to create an account. You can directly use our QR code and barcode scanning features.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using this App, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not download, install, or use the App, and immediately delete it from your device.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes within the App. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
1.1 This App is a QR code and barcode scanning tool that allows you to:
(a) Scan QR codes and barcodes using your device camera;
(b) Recognize and parse scan results, including URLs, text, contact information, Wi-Fi passwords, etc.;
(c) Manually input or select images from your gallery for recognition;
(d) Generate your own QR codes (e.g., text, URLs);
(e) View and manage scan history (stored locally on your device).
1.2 The Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We may update, modify, or improve the Services from time to time, including adding or removing certain features. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate part or all of the Services at any time without notice.
2.1 By using this App, you represent and warrant that:
(a) You are at least 13 years old (or the higher age required by the laws of your jurisdiction);
(b) If you are under 18 (or the age requiring parental consent in your region), you have obtained permission from your parent or legal guardian;
(c) You have the full legal capacity to agree to these Terms;
(d) You have not been previously prohibited from using our Services.
2.2 Our Services are not designed for children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian of a child under 13 and believe your child has used the App without your consent, please contact us.
3.1 Subject to your continued compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use this App on mobile devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
3.2 You shall not:
(a) Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or rent any part of the Services;
(b) Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Services;
(c) Use the Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose;
(d) Use the Services in any way that could damage, disable, or impair them.
4.1 Our Intellectual Property: This App and all its content, features, software, interfaces, designs, and icons (hereinafter referred to as "Materials") are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by Chinese and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Unless expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not use these Materials.
4.2 Your Content: Any QR code content, scan results, generated QR codes, and other materials you scan, generate, or process through this App (hereinafter referred to as "Your Content") belong to you. You retain all ownership rights to Your Content.
4.3 License to Your Content: To enable your use of the Services (e.g., parsing scan results, generating QR codes), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, display, and process Your Content, solely for the purpose of providing these Services to you. We will not use Your Content to train our models or for any other commercial purpose without your explicit consent.
5.1 Accuracy of Scan Results: We use third-party or proprietary technology to provide QR code and barcode recognition services. You understand and agree that:
(a) Recognition results (such as URLs, text, etc.) may be inaccurate, incomplete, or contain errors due to QR code quality, lighting, device performance, and other factors;
(b) You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of scan results and should not rely on them as the sole source of information;
(c) We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from reliance on scan results.
5.2 Content Legality: You agree to scan only QR codes and barcodes that you have the legal right or permission to scan. You shall not:
(a) Scan information that contains or points to illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive, hateful, harassing, or otherwise objectionable content;
(b) Use this App for any unauthorized surveillance or information collection activities.
5.3 Storage and Processing:
(a) Local Storage: Your scan history is saved locally on your device by default. We cannot access these files.
(b) Real-time Parsing: When you scan a QR code, the parsing process may involve temporarily transmitting image data to our servers for processing. After processing, the relevant data will be deleted from our servers within a reasonable period (typically not exceeding 30 days) in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You agree not to engage in any of the following while using the Services:
(a) Violating any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights;
(b) Uploading, storing, or transmitting any illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive, hateful, harassing, or otherwise objectionable content;
(c) Uploading, storing, or transmitting any content containing viruses, malicious code, or other material designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware;
(d) Interfering with or disrupting the Services or the networks connected to the servers;
(e) Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services or any related systems or networks;
(f) Using any robot, crawler, or other automated means to access the Services;
(g) Using the Services for any surveillance, espionage, or secret collection of others' information.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THIS APP AND THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; (B) THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (C) ANY RESULTS OBTAINED FROM USING THE SERVICES (INCLUDING SCAN RECOGNITION RESULTS) WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE; (D) ANY ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE, OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF GOODWILL, DATA LOSS, LOST PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us, our affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law, particularly laws related to the legality of scanned content; (d) Your Content infringing the rights of any third party.
11.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
11.2 For any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, you and we agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute through informal negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the People’s Republic of China.
11.3 Class Action Waiver: TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
12.1 Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Services.
12.2 Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
12.3 Waiver: The failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
12.4 Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
