Preparation to Submit
Lake wildlife: What kinds of wildlife are at the lake?
Wildlife is often used in the images designed showing humans not to contaminate. Common birds at Lake Massasoit are Canada geese, land gulls and Mallard ducks. Less common are egrets, herons, swans, falcons, and Bald-headed eagles. For fish, there are Largemouth bass, Pickerel, Rainbow trout, Perch, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, Catfish and Carp.
Size of final image: Should I expect the image I submit to be exactly like the painted image?
You can adjust for the size and shape of the asphalt "canvas"; which will be approximately 3' horizontally on each side of the 2' storm drain, and 4' from the curb out into the street.
Submission: How do I make a submission?
The "submit image" page will let you submit whether a) you have your image in a jpg format or b) if you want to take a photo and transfer it to the page.
Notification: Will I be told even if my submission isn't chosen?
Yes, as long as we have your email, we will notify you.
