Building and Sustaining a Movement for
Just Energy Access in South Carolina

Our Coalition members support and impact our advocacy, inspire our mission, and connect us with the frontlines of change in South Carolina's most vulnerable communities, including Communities of Color and those made up of high percentages of low income households. We work in solidarity to leverage our individual and collective power, expertise, and lived experiences to advance Energy Justice. Our works converges at the crossroads of community, equity, and environmental and climate justice.

• Grant opportunities, technical writing assistance, and grants management help

• Open listserv of Coalition members, industry experts, and community supporters

  • Legislative convenings - where members can identify, connect with, and appeal to their representatives

  • Funder briefings - where members have the opportunity to meet, inform, and reach potential grantors

  • Resource examples and development 

  • Communications - multimodal media and other forums

  • Research, development, analysis, data provision

  • Ethical community engagement and grassroots movement-building

SC Energy Justice Coalition also helps direct funds to award to existing and new Coalition members for initiatives that focus on just energy initiatives, are equity led or equity adjacent, and that benefit vulnerable communities
