Synopsis-
Burlington English is a dynamic and flexible digital, blended-learning program for adult ESL students. Burlington’s blended model combines the support of teacher-led classroom instruction with the flexibility of online learning, so that students can use it in the classroom, at the lab, and away from school. Burlington’s blended curriculum and methodology include projectable in-class lessons, downloadable worksheets, student-directed online lessons, and mobile practice for a rich and flexible curriculum.
Burlington’s blended curriculum was designed specifically for the adult ESL student and specifically with the goals of WIOA in mind. It includes course for all ESL levels that address IEL/CE, Workforce Preparation, and IET. The BurlingtonEnglish suite of online, interactive courses help adult education programs meet the demands of WIOA with a focus on rigorous academic preparation, civics knowledge, career readiness, and technology integration.
In addition to the levels and courses included in the BurlingtonEnglish suite of programs, instructional users receive access to the Administration Zone and Teacher’s Zone. With these Zones, users can access all of Burlington’s print materials and resources, manage their classes and students, and access a multitude of progress reports
