Integrating Climate Action into Quality Management (ISO 9001:2015)
The Municipal Government of Sablayan successfully conducted an awareness seminar on the ISO 9001:2015:AMD1: Climate Action Change for all department heads and employees.
The seminar served to update employees on the latest amendment to the Quality Management System (QMS) standard. The key update requires the integration of climate change action within the organization's strategic and operational processes.
The update emphasized that there is no transition period for this mandatory amendment, requiring immediate consideration and implementation of climate-related issues into the LGU’s quality system.
The Municipal Government of Sablayan conducted an Internal Auditor Training for selected employees of the municipality.
The training focused on the ISO 18001:2018 standard, equipping the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct internal audits. This initiative enhances the LGU's capacity for monitoring and ensuring compliance with its systems (as evidenced by the completion certificates).

This achievement was made possible through key partnerships, including the training of employees and department heads by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and consultation with Earth Tongol Consultancy Services.
This certification is a testament to the collective leadership and commitment of the Municipal Mayor, Vice-Mayor, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Department Heads, and all LGU employees, demonstrating the municipality's dedication to quality management and excellent public service.
