Corporate Lunches

Tuesdays during lunch (typically 12 - 1 pm), occasionally on Thursdays

Our Weekly Lunch Meetings are widely known as a staple of SBSE. In the past, these meetings have consisted of a corporate-sponsored lunch and presentation followed by a Q&A session. Companies are encouraged to give presentations on interesting topics of their choosing in addition to providing information about employment and scholarship opportunities for SBSE students. Attendees of the lunches are often granted expedited application processes (for jobs/internships) by the hosting companies. Interactive presentations are also highly encouraged.

Every few weeks, we will substitute the usual lunch-presentation-Q&A format with a hands-on, interactive or information-based workshop. Some workshops we have held in the past include:

• Professional Development: Resumé Building, Career Fair Prep, Interview Prep, The Job/Internship/Summer Program Application

• Stanford Programs: Bing Overseas Studies Program (BOSP) Informational, Summer Opportunities, Research Opportunities

• Topics in Engineering: Creativity, The Design Process, Investment

These workshops will be interactive, engaging, and informative. Make sure to stop by an SBSE meeting on Tuesday afternoons!
