About The Area

South Bend is a welcoming, family-friendly community with strong local churches and abundant opportunities to connect and grow. Families enjoy excellent parks and playgrounds, outstanding libraries, and popular attractions such as the Potawatomi Zoo and Wellfield Botanic Gardens. Notre Dame sports events, Broadway concerts at the Morris, and an abundance of restaurants downtown can easily fill any free weekend. With accessible activities for all ages, South Bend offers a warm and engaging environment for families and visitors alike.

Activities

Our chapter stays active year-round, with regular outings during the summer and fall and cozy winter gatherings such as playdates, brunches, and other fun events. We also enjoy organizing and hosting special celebrations, including baby showers, brunches, Christmas parties, Galentine’s Day gatherings, and date nights at the theatre (when schedules align!), creating meaningful opportunities to connect and build community together.

Our Churches

We know that finding a local church community is so vital to growing in our spiritual walk, and living in fellowship with other believers (Hebrews 10:24-25). It is especially important with the demands of the medical field and particularly during training years when our husbands may not always be able to attend with us.
