PROJECT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

To carry out our project, we conducted the following activities:

The first thing we did was to conduct interviews with Gilda to understand her needs in cycling practice. During this step, we had conversations with her and held two meetings.

Continuing the development..

Later, we came to the conclusion that she needed a support system to improve her posture and provide better support, aiming for improved performance in her competitions.

In the next step, we researched various materials in terms of cost, time, and feasibility.

The fourth step involved selecting the material, with microlattice as an option, though it was challenging to obtain. We ultimately opted for 3D printing, which was more cost-effective, accessible, and durable.

For the fifth step, we learned to use the 3D design program Autodesk Fusion 360, where we created the support prototype.

Following this, we printed the design, adjusted recycled bike posts and stems to the required measurements, and conducted tests. After testing, we made design modifications and printed it once again.

Finally, we put the project to the test."
