WHAT IS PROJECT-BASED LEARNING (PBL)?
PBLWorks (Buck Institute for Education) defines Project-Based Learning as:
Project-Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills
by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic,
engaging, and complex question, problem, or challenge.
The problems investigated through PBL are authentic, real-world problems that are open-ended and possibly vaguely framed. Personally relevant and meaningful projects help sustain students' engagement.
