1. Design of a Portfolio
Problem statement: The user was unable to showcase all his skillsets, expertise, his achievements and academic details. The user wanted it to be custom-build.
Design brief: Figma and slides were used to document the user requirement.
Solution: The website is developed using HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and Filezilla, and Dreamweaver.
2. Design of an Website for a Conference
Problem statement: IIT Guwahati Design Department hosted a conference HWWE 2021. For that the department needed a medium which will help to fulfill their need by effectively communicating the information regarding the conference dates, regular updates, registration, reviewer details etc.
Design brief: A detailed design brief was done documenting the requirement. Finally custom-build website has been designed.
3. Design of an Experience based learning environment for school children
Problem statement: CBSE board school science school teacher was interviewed and it was found that there are many concepts which are difficult to make students understand and its boring for them. One such concept is working principle of eye, specifically the formation of image on the retina.
Design brief: A working prototype needs to be developed for the students of class V (CBSE Board), science class, its working principle, how the prototype partially simulates the working of a human eye, specifically the formation of image on the retina. The aim is to impart experience to the learners which might be difficult for them to visualize if learned theoretically. The objectives are:
Simulate the working of an eye and convince the student that the image formed on the retina is the inverted image.
Develop a prototype to show the simulation.
Students must be able to create the prototype at very less price.
Create an environment to impart experience of emotions to the students such as “interest, joy, trust, amazement, surprize, and acceptance”- Design for emotion.
