During the fall semester of 2017, I represented Dominican University of CA as one of 26 Panetta Institute Congressional interns. I spent two weeks in Monterey CA, at the Panetta Institute for Public Policy taking classes spanning various facets of public policy. I then spent 2.5 months in Washington, D.C. interning in the U.S. House of Representatives. I interned in the office of the Hon. Alan Lowenthal [CA-47] during my time in Washington, D.C.

As an intern in Congressman Lowenthal's D.C. office I assisted with legislative and communication tasks. I photographed the Congressman at various press conferences, such as the one pictured above on the steps of the Supreme Court during the hearing of the Gill v. Whitford gerrymandering case.
