Biography 

Sayanta Chowdhury is pursuing Ph.D. in Computer Science at South Asian University (SAU), New Delhi, India. His PhD study consists of the intersection of Machine Learning and Optimization.  He is working under the supervision of Dr Reshma Rastogi. He is also working in Machine Learning and Statistical Inference Laboratory (MLSI LAB) which is led by Dr Rastogi. He is receiving SAARC Silver Jubilee Scholarship for continuing his PhD Study at SAU. 

Recently, he completed his M.Sc. in Computer Science from South Asian University. Also he completed his MSc thesis under Dr Rastogi's supervision. 

Previously, he completed his B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering (4 years bachelor) from the Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology, Cumilla Cantonment, Bangladesh.

He also received the SAARC Silver Jubilee Scholarship for his two-year MSc course, which was funded by the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India. This scholarship was given based on ranking on the entrance test of MSc, and he achieved 1st position rank on that exam among the Bangladeshi aspirants. This scholarship covered his educational expenses, hostel residential and travel expenses, and health insurance for two years.

His research interests include the following research areas: Machine Learning, Multi-Label Learning and Optimization.
