Southern Appalachian Weather and Climate Workshop Abstract Submission
Welcome to the 2026 SAWC Workshop
The Southern Appalachian Weather and Climate Workshop brings together a diverse group of federal, academic, students, and broadcast media to share research, operations, and communication of weather, water, and climate events. The workshop is interested in a broad range of abstracts concerning weather and climate, and do not necessarily need to be focused on the southern Appalachians.
The Workshop starts Friday afternoon and continues all day Saturday. Friday and Saturday are filled with oral and poster presentations from a broad range of topics in weather, water and climate. Of course there will be plenty of opportunity for asking questions and engaging the operational and academic communities.
The Fourth Annual SAWC Workshop takes place at Blue Ridge Room in the Highsmith Student Center at UNC-Asheville. For more information.
Once the 2026 Program Agenda is determined, a link will be provided here. Oral and poster presenters please check the Presenter Information page for important details.
