This is my mom's chance
to get her life back
I want this to be the best birthday my mom's ever had! For $35, you get a fantastic evening of fun while helping my mom finally live her best life! The night begins with food and comedy, catered by the VFW and hosted by local comedian MJ Marsh! I'll have a free drink for the first 150 guests, and even more drink tickets beyond that! We have a fantastic Silent Auction, full of goodies like beer growlers, rounds of golf, yoga, and more! Then, the night will close out with a concert by local band 3 Minutes to Midnight. They are a fantastic group with some great soul and soothing sound. Check them out here!
If you want to get your business on board, in any way at all, please don't hesitate to drop me a line!
First, the primary goal of these funds...
is to fix up my mom's place, and make sure that it is safe and livable. All donations to this cause will go directly to my mom, and already people are responding very well to her story. I am in contact with Scene Clean, a clean-up organization in Minnesota, to get that part of her home back into shape. Funds will also go to fixing her water pump, fixing the HVAC system, the electrical systems, and faulty plumbing.
This is also a great way for our community as Minnesotans to come together and support a great cause, and is a great way for our local businesses and corporations to get some awesome advertising. I've spent a lot of time working on a blog to document my adventures, and here on the website, all contributors who who wish it will be recognized. That same recognition will be found at the event itself on 2 big projector screens, displaying logos and expressing thanks to donors. I am also open to suggestions of other ways that I can showcase the people who open their hearts to my mom, and help me get her a safe, secure, comfortable place to live.
Find the Uptown VFW less than a block north of Lake Street off of Lyndale.
Parking:
The parking lot in the alley directly behind VFW is Free for VFW customers, first come first serve, with about 50 spaces plus handicapped parking.
There's a public paid lot behind Jungle Theater, and metered and free street parking on surrounding blocks.
