Savepoint Journal is a private game-journaling app for iPhone and iPad.

Use it to keep track of your games, current objectives, playing sessions, notes, reminders, goals, milestones, custom game images, and completion reviews. You can also create shareable completion cards when you finish a game.

Savepoint Journal does not require an account and does not include ads, analytics, or tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does iCloud Sync work?

Savepoint Journal includes optional iCloud Sync.

When iCloud Sync is enabled, supported journal data, custom game images, and preferences can sync between compatible devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

Savepoint Journal does not use a developer-operated server for iCloud Sync. Your synced information is stored through your personal iCloud account.

Sync depends on iCloud, your device settings, your internet connection, and available iCloud storage. For best results, make sure iCloud is enabled on each device and that each device is signed in to the same Apple Account.

How do I export a backup?

Open Savepoint Journal and go to Settings. Select the export backup option and choose where you would like to save or share the backup file.

Keep exported backups somewhere you control, such as the Files app, iCloud Drive, or another secure storage location.

A backup may contain private journal information. Only share it with people or services you trust.

How do I import a backup?

Open Savepoint Journal and go to Settings. Select the import backup option, then choose a compatible Savepoint Journal backup file.

Review any confirmation message carefully before continuing. Importing a backup may add or replace information in the app, depending on the import options available in your version.

How do I restore my journal after reinstalling the app?

If you previously used iCloud Sync, sign in to the same Apple Account, make sure iCloud is available, reinstall Savepoint Journal, and enable iCloud Sync in the app. Your synced information may take a little time to appear.

If you previously exported a manual backup, open Savepoint Journal, go to Settings, and import the saved backup file.

Information that was stored only on the device and was not synced or exported may not be recoverable after the app is deleted.

How do I add or remove a custom game image?

Open a game from your Library and go to its game details.

To add or change an image, select the game artwork or the change image option, then choose an image from your photo library.

To remove an image, select the remove custom image option and confirm. The default Savepoint Journal artwork will be shown again.

Savepoint Journal only uses images that you choose for your game entries.

What happens if I turn off iCloud Sync?

Turning off iCloud Sync stops Savepoint Journal from syncing new changes through iCloud on that device.

Information already stored locally may remain available on the device. Information previously stored in iCloud may remain in your personal iCloud account according to your iCloud settings and Apple’s data-management practices.

Before turning off iCloud Sync, exporting a manual backup is recommended.

Does Savepoint Journal record audio?

No. Savepoint Journal does not access the microphone or record audio.

When you use keyboard dictation, the dictation feature is provided by iOS. Savepoint Journal receives the text entered through the keyboard, not an audio recording.

Can other people see my journal?

Savepoint Journal does not provide public profiles, social accounts, or a public journal feed.

You control what you share. Content only leaves the app when you use a feature such as sharing a completion card, exporting a backup, or sharing information through another app or service.
