Wild Mustang Horse Bootcamp for Veterans*

This dynamic and interactive 4-week Program offers Military Veterans an opportunity to work with the iconic American Wild Horse in a thoughtful, yet challenging environment. Connecting these two heroes has shown to help bring considerable healing benefits and has also shown to help ease the effects that the military has had on many Veterans.

Our trainers will take Veterans through a step by step process that will have them working to become a leader to these once wild animals. Through this work, Veterans may experience the following:

• Reduced stress
• Learning to trust again
• Building confidence
• Improved important relationships in their lives

This is a 2 day per week commitment and is FREE for Veterans.

Upon successful completion of this program, Veterans will have the opportunity to advance toward our Gentling Program where they will work with an untouched captured Wild Horse to train it from WILD TO MILD!

Veteran and Mustang Gentling Program*

​This is a 6 week intensive program where Veterans will be connected with a captured wild mustang horse who has been untouched by humans. The Veteran will choose, with the help of our trainer, a wild mustang horse that he/she will learn how to gentle during the 6 weeks. Our trainer will work with each Veteran and teach them the gentling process where the mustang will go from “wild to mild” and become an adoptable equine partner. The Veteran will learn marketable vocational skills along with receiving on the job training for a future occupation in the equine industry if they so choose. Additionally, the Veterans will learn all about horses, from conformation to equine body parts to health concerns. and more.

Successful completion of the Wild Mustang Horse Bootcamp for Veterans is required in order to be considered for this program.

This program is a 5 day per week commitment and is FREE for Veterans!

Groom and Care Sessions

Veterans can come to our farm and spend some time grooming, cleaning, and caring for one of our gentled and trained mustangs. We will show you what all is involved in keeping our mustangs looking their best and making sure they are healthy and well. Click here to schedule a time with one of our Mustangs.

Veteran Work Days​

Monthly Work Days will be set up for Veterans to come to the farm and help us with different maintenance items that will be needed to keep up the facility. After the work is completed, we will celebrate with a meal and camaraderie. Click here if you would like to come out and help us around the farm!

*All Veterans will need to fill out an Application in order to be considered for this program. Safety is of utmost importance for Veterans and the mustangs and should we find that this could be compromised, we reserve to right to not approve any applicants that we deem not appropriate for this program.
