One person commented that 'White Noise' 'captured the feeling of [detachment] so perfectly'
After my first year of University finished I was feeling very lost, detached, and lonely. I wasn't able to focus on what people were saying and after a while, everything started to sound like white noise. I believe film is the best medium to explore complex feelings and it enabled me to express myself and understand my emotions better. This was shot on a camera from the early 2000s the grainy visuals emphasise the brain fog felt by the protagonist.
The drawings I used:
I wrote, directed, produced, and edited 'White Noise.' This a completely independent project that had no crew or budget. I wanted to understand my feelings better and that always starts with my drawings, from there I developed it into a short film. I have come a long way since I made 'White Noise' but it is still a very special one to me as it helped me develop my authentic style and love for old cameras.
