Introductory letter, resume, references, and follow up letter

For this project we had to put together a job application packet which would be sent to a particular employer. Firstly is the introduction letter, after finding a job that catches your interest this letter would be used to introduce who you are, why you are interested in the position, and how you would best benefit this employer.

Next, a resume is needed to show your employer how you've gotten your experience , and where. This is important because it will give your potential employer an idea of your background and if you would be the best candidate.

A list of references is used to provide your future employer with people who would speak in your favor when applying for a job. Mostly contains those you know in a educational or professional capacity.

lastly, If you haven't heard from your potential employer in a few weeks, it's best to send a follow up letter. With this you make clear that you are still interested in the job position, and that you can provide this employer with any additional information. Overall to send a letter of appreciation.

This unit taught me how to get prepared when applying for a job and what is needed throughout the process, the level of professionalism.
