I am practicing Nclex questions. I have been whipping through these chapters. I read Suzanne's post about doing each chapter and if I score higher than 75, moving on to the next chapter. But I am really moving though these fast.... with scores in the 80's and 90's in each chapter. the questions seem too easy at times. Has anyone else been using the Saunder's Nclex Exam book? Do you find that the questions are too easy? What should I do?

Saunders questions are real easy, I agree. I did a few chapters in the book, then gave up because I did not think it was too challenging. But now that i have finished that crazy test, i say do saunders, when you are done with that review it and do some harder questions. I did Mosby's Online CAT. It was okay, but sorry, i don't think any amount of studying could prepare for that crazy test.

Have you tried using the Saunder's CD that comes with the book? There are thousands of practice questions on there and many of them are more challenging than the few that are at the end of each chapter in the book. I personally found it helpful when studying. Good Luck!

yes, the questions do seem easy sometimes, but I would reinforce Suzanne's recommendation to read the rationale after the question. It is a great way to review and refresh the information that was learned in school. One thing that I did was click on the analysis section on the CD which mixes up all the questions. Other sections allow you to do this also, it is really nice to get a mix rather than focusing on a system at a time.

saunders is way to easy .. i close my eyes and answer the questions and still get 80% i am going to do the comprehensive test in the back of the book tommrow.. to see how i do... i did the q trainer 7 and got 64 % and only have 100 total questions left on the q bank...i'm running out of questions.. i also did the whole priority , delagation book and reviewed it... i take the test on 7/17 and will review all my labs monday morning again... i hope we all pas because i am sick of studying.. i am doing all i can and leaving the rest in God's hands.

I spoke with 4 of my friends who took NCLEX-RN this week and all of them said that NCLEX questions very similar to Kaplan (all of them used Kaplan Strategy book). Two of them did Sounders and Kaplan books, and both said that test Q were way harder than Sounders, and definitely resembled Kaplan.

Saunders questions are easy compared to the real NCLEX questions. as carolinagurl said, no amount of studying could prepare anyone for that crazy test. some NCLEX questions are real basic and simple, compared to the crazy paragraphs from Saunders CD...but the answers are so hard to figure out.

Just wanted to put out a quick little warning to all the other people desperately studying with their NCLEX exams on the horizon. I'm in the thick of it and wanted a few more practice tests before writing my second UWORLD test because lets be honest, they are hard and expensive. Saw some testimonials on here about archer review and was excited to see a super low price. Well, the price is low for a reason! The grammar of most of the questions is sub par, and some are so poor I genuinely could not grasp what on earth the question was asking. In addition the rationales are laughable. I had multiple "rationales" simply restate the answer and then cite Potter and Perry. I'm not kidding the answer would be like (and this is just an example not what actually was written by any means) apply least restraints. and the rationale would be "for patients you should always apply least restraints (Potter and Perry). NO detail, NO deeper thinking, No Learning. On top of all of this that in the course of answering 200 of their questions I found at least 7 where the answers were just strait up WRONG.

So, don't get me wrong. I feel like I got some good stuff out of archer. Counterintuitively I feel like I strengthened some aspects of my knowledge by ragging on the poor wording of the questions and noticing the answers that were inaccurate. Not to mention there were a degree of genuinely good questions. Overall though I would not recommend the service.

Sure its cheap, but is price really the deciding factor when writing the most important test of your life. Spend your time on other studying methods! Text book review of texts you already own would be free and more valuable. and if you already have UWORLD (like I do) focus time on going through the bank of questions you got wrong. 2351a5e196
