Our research work: Microbiome-host interaction
Our research aims to elucidate the complex interactions between the gut microbiome and host metabolism in metabolic diseases like T2D, obesity, and NFLED. We investigate how alterations in microbial community structure and function influence key metabolic and immune pathways associated with glucose homeostasis, insulin resistance and disease progression. By integrating multi-omics data with systems biology approaches, we seek to identify microbial metabolites and molecular mechanisms that mediate microbiome–host crosstalk. Ultimately, our goal is to uncover novel microbiome-based biomarkers and therapeutic strategies for the prevention and management of T2D.
