Our research work: Computational Systems and Structural Biology in Biomedicine
Computational biology refers to data analysis, mathematical modelling and computational simulations to understand biological systems and relationships. In our lab, we emphasized two core parts of computational biology, i.e., Computational systems biology and computational structural biology. More specifically, computational systems biology includes the Genome-scale metabolic modelling of human gut microbes to find the crucial link between gut microbiota and Type-2 diabetics. Additionally, computational structural biology deals with protein structure prediction and molecular dynamics simulation studies of Type-2 diabetes-linked microbial enzymes.
