I grew up in a small village in West Bengal, India. That quiet rural upbringing — far from university libraries and research labs — shaped something essential in me: a habit of curiosity, a certain stubbornness about understanding things, and a deep respect for simplicity. I completed my schooling entirely in my village before following physics beyond its borders.
I followed my passion for physics and earned my BSc in Physics from Vidyasagar College, University of Calcutta. My academic journey continued as I qualified the JAM examination, which led me to pursue my MSc at IIT Guwahati.
Later, I completed my PhD at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS). Currently, I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at Ariel University.
During my undergraduate years, I spent time at the Ramakrishna Mission Calcutta Students Home, where I engaged in spiritual practice. That experience played an important role in shaping my inner growth, discipline, and perspective on life.
Beyond research, I love exploring different parts of India. Traveling and trekking in the mountains give me peace and inspiration. I also enjoy playing volleyball and cricket whenever I get time. These activities keep me balanced and connected to life beyond academics.
For me, science, spirituality, and exploration go hand in hand — each helping me understand the world more deeply.
