Did you change the internal stamp name? For dynamic stamps, you need to use an internal stamp name that starts with a '#' - otherwise the stamp script will not be evaluated every time you place the stamp. To change the stamp name, go into Page Templates and change the template name from "abcdef=some string" to "#abcdef=some string".

To help us understand how this situation came about, can I ask you about your process? Where did you find the steps you took to make this dynamic stamp? Why did you choose to copy the stamp into the "app" area, rather than leave it in the "user" area?

Create a custom dynamic stamp using Acrobat DC You will notice the first save is to the userprofile area, then further down, at the end, it tells you to COPY (not move) it to the App area. And its from the Official Adobe site. LOL

For the life of me I cannot get any dynamic stamps to work. I've spent hours sifting through all of these posts and none of the 'solutions' people here have suggested are working for me. I created a stamp in Acrobat Pro DC using a PDF file - opened in and used prepare form to create all the fields and checkboxes I needed - saved this file with the same name in the user folder only. I then insert into another PDF and it is not dynamic - none of the fields are editable.

Hi,

I know how to make the dynamic stamp for a signature with my name and date e.g. Karine, 13/02/2015

but how to add my position in the dynamic stamp? What is the script to write to include that field? e.g. Karine, Purchasing Manager, 13/02/2015

Thank you in advance for you help

Actually Acrobat 9 Standard does contain the form editing tools, so you should be able to create your own custom dynamic stamp. But to answer yoru question, yes you could use stamps created from others as well.

From this point is where I have trouble. I know I have to find the file that Adobe created for my new stamp to edit it and make it a dynamic stamp, but I am not able to find/view that file. I have tried the following approaches:

So, dynamic stamps are basically forms. You put data into a field on a stamp the same way you put data into a form field using a calculation script. This is clearly pointed out in the tutorial, the articles and the sample.

The membership costs 149$ a year. Since I do not need anything deeper in pdf scripting than this dynamic stamp it would have been a bad purchase. I would have studied several things to even get close to my problem and in order to understand the issue I am having. And after that the learned things would have been useless in my regular office work. I'd rather pay someone 50$ to fix my stamp issue and then the case is closed.

Hi I'm going round in circles trying to create a dynamic stamp. I've followed the instructions from this 2017 article - -custom-dynamicstamp.html - and have come unstuck at the point where you edit the newly created stamp to add the info you want.

Dear reader,

I made a dynamic stamp in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. It works perfect. The user needs to fill three fields in a form and the result is added into the stamp.

I want to use this stamp also in Adobe Reader 11 and it is not working completely, not all the information is added into the stamp.

I hope you can help me

Susan, you need to create a custom dynamic stamp that uses a user interface to collect the data (in this case a date) that needs to be placed on the stamp. Take a look here at this tutorial: _stamp_secrets

The issue appears to be with my computer/adobe. Previously, I imported other custom stamps like this one and have not come across this issues. I repaired Adobe to see if this would correct the problem, but it does not. Can you help me with this?

Creating a dynamic stamp in Acrobat enables you to add a personal touch to your business documents. Such stamps tell your associates that they're dealing with you and not some faceless force. A custom dynamic stamp serves the same purpose as a physical stamp, but adds two major improvements. First, it shows whatever image you choose. Second, the stamp can change content in ways that you specify. For example, you can make a stamp that shows your signature and the time at which you inserted the stamp. You can create a dynamic stamp by creating a custom stamp file with a text field and inserting JavaScript code into that field.

I have a working custom dynamic stamp with multiple input fields that the user is prompted. What I want to try to do now is somehow get a form text field onto the stamp AFTER it is actually rendered. For instance, if someone initially stamps in everything except for the ledger codes (because they don't know them at the time) and then sends the PDF off to someone who DOES know the ledger codes, I want to have the ability for those ledger codes to be added in like they were editable form fields and not have to use an additional stamp.

You actually can get a dynamic stamp to re-render. All you need to do is use JavaScript to get the annotation object that corresponds to the stamp in question, get it's properties object, delete the APCosObj property and then set the properties to the modified properties object. As long as the custom stamp is still installed in Acrobat, the dialog will pop up and allow a user to enter the data. Unfortunately, the existing data on the stamp can't be accessed directly so you'd need to provide a mechanism for storing it. All annotations get a unique "name" property when created so you can use the name to connect the stored data to the annotation.

I was attempting to create a custom stamp. My goal was to build a "Received" stamp where I designed a .png file and left some room in the middle of the image for where I would later put the text file. I used instructions from here Create a custom dynamic stamp using Acrobat DC

I create my new custom stamp with the background image I designed and then close. I then browse to users/myusername//library/application support/adobe/acrobat/dc/stamps and I see the new PDF file there.

I edit this PDF and using the forms tool, I create a text field where the dynamic date will go. Everything worked great for this portion of the task. I was able to get the stamp to display the date using the javascript sample provided. It shows that the date appears in the text box appropriately.

If you wanted to add more information to a PDF document without altering the content too much, adding a stamp might be your best option. Adding a fillable, customizable, and dynamic stamp can give the document that extra added padding needed to include additional information or validate the content. It can be very difficult to do so. This comprehensive guide will show you how to create a stamp in Adobe Acrobat and a better alternative.

All I had to do was after dropping the dynamic stamp file "T2vJRMdRPeUZN_Pg9zlwhA.pdf" into the new DC Stamps folder was to just restart the Adobe Acobat DC program. All my dynamic stamps work.

The company I work for recently purchased Adobe Acrobat DC so we can try and go more paperless. I was asked to create a couple custom dynamic stamps. After some trial and error and searching the web for examples I made them. The only problem now is that they only work on my computer.

There are a few details for creating dynamic stamps that use a popup to get user data. First, the code has to be qualified because the script is run every time the menu options for any stamp are un-covered. There are some special event properties for this.

There are a number of parts to creating a working dynamic stamp, and without more info I can't really say what the issue might be. However, tutorials and sample covering the details of this process are available here:

As you were experiencing issues with changing the colour of the dynamic stamp. This option is yet not available, the stamp designer selected the colours that are used for the stamp. For more information, you may refer to a similar discussion here - change the colour of stamp (Edit PDF)

You can use Illustrator to change the colors used in these stamps. A while ago, I wrote up a tutorial about changing the text in a dynamic stamp, but you can also use Illustrator's features to change the background and text colors.

I'm trying to edit a dynamic stamp to have check boxes. I've been able to find examples of code for radio buttons, text fields, and drop down forms. But the proper coding for check boxes eludes me. I would even settle for a dynamic stamp that utilizes them so I could look at the code. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dynamic stamps for use with Adobe pdf files. Are you tired of physical stamps and messy ink? Is a lot of your work done with electronic or digital documents such as Adobe pdf documents? If you need mark-up stamps for Adobe that allow for entering custom data each time they are applied, you will love our digital dynamic stamps.

Dynamic PDF Stamps are special PDF Documents containing JavaScript code that will either prompt the user for additional information or dynamically generate additional details on the stamp such as current date and time.

This is a tad offtopic, but it took me a while to figure out how to make a dynamic stamp in Adobe Acrobat, as when inserted, prompts the user for input and automatically puts the input on top of the stamp. So here goes: (this requires Adobe Acrobat Pro or the ability to make/edit forms in pdf)

However, not each stamp will create a new file.

QuickSign signatures will be listed as Stamp_1.pdf, Stamp_2.pdf, Stamp_3.pdf, etc

Stamps with images will be added to the 'user_stamps.pdf', and those that are simply text are appended to 'user_stamps.cnf'.

Unfortunately Nitro currently does not support Javascript within Stamps. In addition, the only dynamic data is the 'name, date and time' option, which is currently non-modifiable. You can only have it included, or not. There is no way to select one or two of those three.

Sorry I was not able to provide the answer you were hoping for.
