Six years after their last release, Satoshi & Makoto return with their highly anticipated new album, "Café Mirage." Published by 8mm Records, this work was born from a unique collaboration with Standart Magazine.
More than a mere collection of music, Café Mirage offers a "fully immersive sensory experience." In this release, the duo expands their signature sound into deeper, more cinematic territories—masterfully blending refined electronica and ambient textures with subtle jazz inflections and understated yet infectious grooves.
The title evokes an "imaginary café," a conceptual space where contemplation, connection, and inspiration intersect. This vision is further enriched by the partnership with Standart Magazine, bridging the worlds of music and coffee culture into a narrative that is at once intimate and international. The result is an album that unfolds like a "slow ritual"—warm, enveloping, and meticulously detailed.
Throughout the record, Satoshi & Makoto demonstrate a mature and confident approach to songwriting. 前作から6年、Satoshi & Makotoは待望のニューアルバム『Café Mirage』をリリースしました。8mm Recordsにて制作された本作は、Standart Magazineとのユニークなコラボレーションから誕生しました。
単なる音楽の集まり以上に、『Café Mirage』は「完全に没入型の感覚体験」を提供します。今作で彼らは、自分たちの特徴的なサウンドをより深く、よりシネマティックな領域へと拡張しました。洗練されたエレクトロニカとアンビエントの質感、そして微かなジャズの抑揚と控えめながらも耳に残るグルーヴを、見事に融合させています。
タイトルは、熟考、繋がり、そしてインスピレーションが交差する概念的な空間である架空のカフェを想起させます。このビジョンは、Standart Magazineとのパートナーシップによってさらに豊かになり、音楽とコーヒーカルチャーの世界を、親密であると同時に国際的な物語へと橋渡ししています。その結果、温かく、包み込むような、そして細部まで注意深く作り込まれた「ゆっくりとした儀式」のように展開するアルバムとなりました。
レコード全体を通して、Satoshi & Makotoは成熟し、自信に満ちたソングライティングへのアプローチを示しています。プロダクションは豊かでありながら抑制されており、内省的な静けさと前進する感覚のバランスをとっています。贅沢なハーモニーと没入感のあるサウンドデザインにより、『Café Mirage』はリスナーを深く集中させ、あるいは深夜の時間の中にただ漂わせるように誘います。
Omodaka, the solo project of Soichi Terada, is set to release a new album, "Tinsagu Nu Hana", on March 25th.
We are excited to announce that Satoshi & Makoto contributed synthesizer sounds to one of the 19 tracks: Gujoh Bushi (2026 Mix).
For this collaboration, we naturally reached for the CASIO CZ-5000. Please listen closely to see how the unique textures of the CZ blend with Omodaka’s mechanical yet positive world and the beautiful vocals of Akiko Kanazawa.

寺田創一さんのソロプロジェクトである澤瀉（Omodaka）。3月25日にリリースされるニューアルバム『Tinsagu Nu Hana（てぃんさぐぬ花）』。
全19曲の収録曲のうち郡上節 (2026 Mix)にて、私たちSatoshi & Makotoは音色提供で協力させていただきました。
使用したのは、もちろんカシオのシンセサイザー CASIO CZ-5000。 Omodakaのメカニカルかつポジティブな世界観、そして金沢明子さんの美声に、CZならではの音色がどのように溶け込んでいるか、ぜひ耳を澄ませて聴いてみてください。
Satoshi & Makoto has officially joined the latest project from San Music Records, a boutique cassette label based in Chile led by María Araya. Their track is featured on the new compilation album titled Sonidos del Sol Naciente: 日の出の音 (HINODE NO OTO).
This release marks the second chapter of a unique cross-continental musical exchange. It serves as the counterpart to the previous project, Sonidos del Sol Poniente: 夕日の音 (YUUHI NO OTO), which compiled works by various Chilean musicians and producers for exclusive distribution in Japan.
In this new installment, the focus shifts to Japan. Sonidos del Sol Naciente aims to introduce a curated selection of Japanese artists to the Chilean audience. Satoshi & Makoto contribute to this vision with their track "Freezing Point (2025 Remaster)."
Launch Event and Digital Stream To celebrate the release, a special commemorative event, "Sonidos del Sol Naciente - Cassette Conversatorio," was broadcasted on January 10, 2026.
The event was hosted via Tectónica Radio’s YouTube Live, featuring discussions and insights into the project's cross-cultural significance. The compilation continues San Music Records’ mission of bridging the gap between the vibrant electronic scenes of South America and East Asia through the nostalgic yet enduring medium of cassette culture.

María Arayaさんを中心とした南米チリのカセットテープ音楽レーベル・San Music Recordsのコンピレーションアルバム「Sonidos del Sol Naciente 日の出の音(HINODE NO OTO)」にSatoshi & Makotoとして１曲参加させて頂きました。
このプロジェクトは、前回チリの様々な音楽家やプロデューサーの作品をコンパイルし日本でのみ配布されたカセットアルバム「Sonidos del Sol Poniente 夕日の音(YUUHI NO OTO)」に続く、様々な日本のミュージシャンの作品をチリで配信すると言う企画です。
私たちSatoshi & Makotoは"Freezing Point 2025 Remaster"という楽曲でカセットにのみ参加しています。
