I was part of a MeitY-funded collaborative project between IIIT Delhi and ERNET India, aimed at developing optical wireless (OW) connectivity solutions for both rural and urban environments. The project demonstrated real-world use cases in spaces such as auditoriums and hospitals.
Urban Connectivity: Built a hybrid LiFi–WiFi testbed, implemented resource allocation algorithms, and carried out link aggregation experiments to enhance indoor high-speed networks.
Rural Connectivity: Designed and tested a relay broadcast unit and rooftop receiver unit, enabling end-to-end, bidirectional last-mile communication with speeds of at least 10 Mbps.
👉 My role: As a Research Scholar, I contributed to the research and development of optical wireless prototypes and algorithms, supporting both urban HetNets and rural last-mile connectivity solutions.
